Remembrance Flag

Dead babies, dead old people, dead women, dead civilian men.

They are so often forgotten by those who don’t know them.

Last week people tried to remember them, but didn’t know which flag to use.

So they had to choose a side in war.

But war doesn’t end by the choice of a side.
It keeps it going, as it enhances polarisation.

So I made a flag.

The red of war and violence.
The dandelion which used the wind to carry her message of peace and growth.
The blue for the air, the yellow for the sun, and the green for new life and peace.

Let those who died be remembered and be carriers of our awareness that peace is most important.
For all.

May they rest in peace.
